A TikTok influencer in Utah pleaded guilty after getting into an argument with her boyfriend and throwing chairs, one of which ended up hitting her 5-year-old daughter instead of him, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Around 11 p.m. on Feb. 17, officers responded to a report of domestic violence at a home belonging to Taylor Frankie Paul, 28, and her boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, as Front Page Detectives reported.

Taylor Frankie Paul is a TikTok creator with 4 million followers

Officers said Paul and Mortensen were involved in a heated dispute while Paul’s children were present, BuzzFeed News reported.

During the fight, Mortensen tried to leave the house, but Paul threw her phone and a wooden playset at him, according to police.

In July 2022, Taylor Frankie Paul introduced her new boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen

The arguing continued, and Paul then launched “heavy, metal chairs” at Mortensen, which created holes in the wall, police said.

After she allegedly threw the second chair, Mortensen told her to stop because her 5-year-old daughter was next to him on the couch. Paul, however, threw a third chair that hit her daughter and left her with a painful bump, BuzzFeed News reported.

In February 2023, a heated argument between Dakota and Taylor turned ugly.

Police said they were able to obtain video evidence, which allegedly shows the 5-year-old crying after she was hit with the chair. In the video, Paul is also allegedly seen kicking Mortensen, putting him in a chokehold and hitting him multiple times.

In the report, officers said “Dakota reported feeling scared for his life” and they “observed redness and swelling around his eyes, swelling on his elbow, scratches on his fingers and a laceration on his neck.”

Taylor Frankie Paul pleaded guilty to one felony count as part of her plea deal.

Paul was arrested on Feb. 17 and officially charged 11 days later with two counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child, aggravated assault, criminal mischief, and child abuse, court records show.

According to KSTU, Paul pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated assault, a third-degree felony, and all the other charges were dismissed.

Court documents state Paul must comply with specific conditions including obtaining a substance abuse and domestic violence evaluation, participating in counseling and not violating any other laws.

Her guilty plea will be held in abeyance for three years, officials said. If she successfully completes the agreement, the aggravated assault charge will be entered as a class A misdemeanor.

Paul went viral last year after talking about “soft swinging” within her circle of Mormon mom friends on TikTok, according to BuzzFeed News.

She has amassed more than 4 million followers, but she and her husband, who she was with before Mortensen, have since divorced and share custody of their two children. Paul often posts about mental health, her new relationship and coparenting but has not posted since her arrest.
